Zuko confronts Katara about her distrustful disposition toward him. Zuko finds that Katara is taking her anger about the death of her mother out on him. Zuko then decides to help Katara find the Fire Nation soldier responsible for killing her mother. However, Katara finds herself unable to kill the man when she finally confronts him. After returning, Aang is proud of her for not seeking her revenge and Katara finally forgives Zuko of his past betrayal.

I use to be a big Zutara fan, but now I think Aana and Katara should be together, and I REALLY like the idea of Zuko and Toph. I don’t like him with Mai, she’s too nasal sounding, unfeeling, uncaring, and she’s from the crowd that he’s finally gotten away from.
He needs someone better. Like the girl from Bah sing se, that he went on a date with, I liked her.
But I think him and Toph would be good together. She has that disciple in her earthbending that he needs in his life. Plus she’s blind so she can’t be grossed out by his scar.

just clearing it up, the source could have been an ordinary citizen of the tribe, cos when katara found out she was a bender, she might have told her village, and the word spread and reached the wrong ears…

i don’t think that was the source, because they had taken all the waterbenders long before katara was born. hama believed she was the last one. it would have had to have been a current source. i have no idea.

KataanganI, my theory on the source that told of the last watebender in the southern tribe is that it was probably someone from the tribe. If you’ll remember they captured every single waterbender and threw them in jail previously. So someone who was probably hoping the fire nation would go easy on them in prison probably offered up that little nugget. In fact they probably sang like a canary!

Yea when he said ” Im not taking prisoners” that meant he is a bad man that didnt want to go through the trouble of arresting her so that means he killed her there and when katara says gone she means dead
